Beautiful Color Pencil But...
Color was beautiful, which is why I bought it. However, the liner kept breaking off after it was sharpened. I've used this product before you changed it to the plastic waxy pencil and NEVER had any problems EVER! I loved the color, but I won't be purchasing it again. It was a waste time and money. Please don't tell me it had something to do with how it was sharpened or the type of sharpener used. I've been sharpening pencils since I was 4 years old, its not complicated. Your product was just poor quality!

LOVE
I love this product! "Need Me" is the best shade! I have the old formula b am afraid the newer version may not be quite the same BUT I love the formula, it stays on well, and for a long time too in my case!!! I know I cannot speak for anyone but me but I have heard "I can't use it, ya can't sharpen it, it's super hard to work with and sharpen" ……………………… NO! NOT accurate! That s the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! It's super easy to sharpen!!!! In any sharpener… it is not rocket science! LOL I am on the "notify me" list to get some more in shade "Need Me" PLZZZZ HURRY AND RESTOCK NYX!!!!!

I LOVE it but its a waste of money...
Ever since I started to use this lip liner, I fell in love with it. The color is great and lasts. However, its such a waste of product, the liner cannot be sharpened (even though NYX says it does) or retractable. As soon as the liner goes down (which is about after 2 uses), I have to buy a new one. It's so disappointing because I clearly have so much product left but I literally cannot get to it. I've even bought the NYX sharpener (the one NYX says to use with this product) and it breaks the product each time. Again, love the product but such a waste of product. If you're willing to buy another liner after 2 uses, then go right ahead. NYX please make this liner retractable or have the ability to be sharpened....Pictures included so you can see for yourself.

SOOO GOOD
i've only tried it once (as soon as i got home) and let me tell you it looks soooo good! i originally bought Bedrose but that was way too pink and that wasn't the look i was going for. i was looking to buy the Beyond Nude but they were sold out in store so i ended up buying Need Me and man i think it was meant to be bc this matches my lip color perfectly!!! the liner is almost like a mauve nude brown which is perfect bc it looks like it blends w my lips but has just enough brown to where it accentuates the shape of my lips! my brother said i look like a chola but i don't think he realizes that's a compliment lol! will definitely be purchasing again!

LIP. LINER. Read it with me...Lip Liner
I have used this product for over 7 years. SEVEN! I understand the strange ratings about it going on eyes. It was advertised as a multi use pencil in stores for a long time. I even bought it in gold and purple to use on the eyes 6 years ago. It goes on your, read it with me, LIPS. I use the Urban Cafe as a liner and although the color is phenomenal and unlike any other, it only last about 1 hour under lipstick or gloss, unless you over use and layer it. Lasts about 2 hours alone (talking, smiling, sip some coffee or eat? Forget about it. Gone). Looking for a dupe of higher quality.

Idea, New Invention called a Pencil Sharpener!!
I received this pencil in a subscription box, the black brown shade. Perfect for what I like when I don't want black or colored liners. It works well, states all day in my water line which is the purpose I use eyepencils for.
I was floored by a few of the reviews saying they couldn't twist up more product, so they only received a tiny amount of product? Not to be a JERK but if they don't know that you can sharpen a pencil with that thing they call a pencil sharpener maybe its too dangerous to let them have any kind of a pencil or sharp object. Stay out of the makeup store!!!
Any way it's just so crazy, some of the reviews I read on here! Definitely a place to go if you want to laugh or just be amazed, yeah I'll put it that way. no shade meant!!
love the pencil.
By the way, they work great but you will need a PENCIL SHARPENER!!!

My holy grail ant feather lip liner
I wouldn't be writing this review if this lip liner wasn't absolutely stellar, because I didn't wear lip liner before this one. I have a pretty small and thin upper lip so over lining is a must, and my go to lip combo every single time has been this liner, over lined and filled in on the sides, with another lipstick in the middle. It's divine, every single time. It's absolutely opaque and creamy but goes on a little thick so it's pretty long wearing. I usually have to touch up the lipstick and the liner on the sides but never the perimeter of my lips. The pigment is insane so use a light hand, especially with this shade (urban cafe) if you are lighter skinned like me. Fantastic lip liner I bought 4 when they were buy one get one.

Counterintuitive Packaging
The designers were going for a sleek update to the classic wooden lip pencil, but the packaging missed the mark. There is an easy remedy for this problem.
There are countless reviews from customers who assumed they received a defective item because the packaging (that looks like a plastic tube) leads one to believe that the bottom should swivel to push more product up from the inside. People do not want to sharpen (what appears to be) plastic. If you want to save this product, the packaging either needs to be updated with a flashy graphic on the box explaining that it can be sharpened, or a sharpener included. Honestly, a novelty shaped sharpener would look great and help the brand stand out on the shelves. It would also increase the size of the target audience.
As for the formula itself, it's perfect. Glides on smoothly, highly pigmented, long wear, and doesn't get dry or cakey. With updated packaging, this product would be AMAZING, and your team wouldn't waste so much time explaining to disgruntled customers how to use it while trying to avoid alienating or embarrassing them online. People who are made to be felt uncomfortable rarely repurchase the cause of the subconscious discomfort. I would suggest this product to everyone if the packaging was better.
TL;DR: Either make it look like a wooden pencil, include a free novelty sharpener, or add some flashy graphics to the packaging explaining (in a fun way) that it's a great new thing (and how to use it). Your move, Nyx

Great long-lasting liner
While the packaging is ambiguous, the product is great. For those who are wondering how they're going to get more product out from the bottom: No, it doesn't twist, though it looks like it should. Instead, just sharpen it like a pencil.
The great thing about this is that you can use it like a liner, then even fill in the lip a bit and wear it alone, if you're looking for a long-wearing, more natural stained look. As you apply, it's really creamy so you can get it where you want it. Then it sets to a nice water-proof matte finish.
If you think it looks dry, just lightly apply some lip balm over the top for a dewy look, but bear in mind this might take away some of its longevity.

Doesn't budge!
These go on smooth as butter and stay right where you put it. I even put a line along the outside edge of my thumb to see how long it would hold up, and it lasted through several soapy, warm water handwashes. I love that these keep my lipstick in it's place and I don't have to touch it up, since that is the point of lining in the first place. Also, these are so much easier to sharpen than wood pencils because they don't split or spinter, and I'm not scared that there will be a small splinter stuck in the product to scratch me. I just use the same sharpener I use on all my other liners, you don't need a "special" one as long as the blade is in good condition (not chipped or dulled out). I'm smh at all the people who are saying otherwise, must have grown up with mechanical pencils.
